Hey, this is Michael from The Bioentrepreneurs: Stanford. Each month, I bring you key updates and exclusive insights straight from the teams driving innovation across Stanford's life sciences ecosystem. Here's what's happening in April 2025:
This Month's Companies
Velocity Bio
As part of their mission to develop a playbook for discovering allostery, begun assaying their second large-scale enzyme mutant library. Their first large-scale library demonstrated that QUIKER (QUantitative In vitro Kinetics of parallel Enzyme Reactions) allosteric site discovery platform can successfully identify both novel and known allosteric sites, validating the platform’s ability to map functional surfaces at scale.
Made major strides in developing their DASH (Directed Affinity Selections with High throughput microfluidics) site-selective hit identification platform by increasing the parallelization capacity of its library-on-library DEL assays. Leveraging DASH, recapitulated known mutational effects on binding and discovered new residues that are coupled to binding as they continue to scale up and refine their capabilities.
